PHILADELPHIA
Graham Partners, a private investment firm targeting industrial technology and advanced manufacturing companies, is pleased to announce its fourth investment in the thermoformed packaging space, James L. Villa, Inc. (“James L. Villa”). The acquisition of the business of James L. Villa follows Graham’s acquisition of platform company EasyPak, LLC (“EasyPak”) and subsequent add-on acquisitions Tray-Pak Corporation (“Tray-Pak”) and Nuconic Packaging, LLC (“Nuconic”). Graham has integrated Tray-Pak and Nuconic with the EasyPak platform and plans to integrate James L. Villa in the near-term. Graham Partners initially identified thermoformed packaging as an attractive niche that is benefiting from increasing consumer demand for sustainable packaging options and freshly prepared, on-the-go meals.
Located in Oldsmar, Florida, James L. Villa is a third generation family owned and operated business that specializes in highly innovative, custom thermoformed and injection molded packaging for fresh food products in supermarkets. The addition of the business of James L. Villa enables EasyPak to strategically expand into the Southeast while providing additional customization capabilities and scale to EasyPak’s business. Adam Piatkowski, Managing Principal at Graham Partners, states, “We are excited to expand the EasyPak platform with James L. Villa, which adds new capabilities and products as well as numerous fast growing customers.” Dave Furstoss, CEO of EasyPak, adds, “James L. Villa boasts an impressive roster of loyal, long-term customers in the grocery channel – we are excited to partner with the business to expand our thermoformed platform presence in the Southeast.” Steven Graham, CEO of Graham Partners, concludes, “We initially acquired EasyPak with the intention to build a top tier mid-sized thermoformer – with three subsequent complementary acquisitions completed to date, we are well on our way to achieving this vision.”
EasyPak, LLC is a leading thermoformed packaging provider focused on serving attractive healthy and natural food categories. Headquartered in Leominster, MA, EasyPak has extensive intellectual property, a history of innovation, and state-of-the-art operations. Among other value-added capabilities, the company drives differentiation through its sustainable packaging products made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.
